Don E. Schultz is Professor (Emeritus-in-Service) of Integrated Marketing Communication, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.  He is also president of the global marketing consultancy Agora, Inc. Don also serves as director and US Chairman for Brand Finance, London, and is a former director of the Simon Richards Group, Melbourne Australia, Penton Publishers, Cleveland, Ohio, and Insignia Systems, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Don has consulted, lectured, and held seminars on integrated marketing communication, marketing, branding, advertising, sales promotion, and communication management in Europe, South America, Asia/Pacific, the Middle East, Australia, and North America. His client list includes a broad range of consumer, business and service organizations ranging from 3M to CEMEX to Swagelok in business-to-business; from Hyatt International Hotels to Telstra to Visa in services; and from Kraft to Alticor to Roche in consumer products. Don’s articles have appeared in numerous trade journals and he is author/co-author of eighteen books. He was the founding editor of the Journal of Direct Marketing, the associate editor of the Journal of Marketing Communications, is the editor of the new International Journal of Integrated Marketing Communication debuting in 2009, and is on the editorial review board for a number of trade and scholarly publications. Don holds appointments as an adjunct professor at the Queensland University of Technology in Australia, and as a visiting professor at the Cranfield School of Management and at Hull University’s School of Business, both in the UK. He has been a visiting professor at Tsinghua University and Peking University, Beijing, China, and Hanken, the Swedish School of Economics, Helsinki, Finland. Don graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in marketing/journalism and he received an MA in advertising and a PhD in mass media from Michigan State University.
