Positions currently open:
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating necessary project resources to ensure timely, accurate, efficient, and comprehensive execution of all phases of consulting and small-scale IT projects. They blend superb project management and communication skills with client advisory and indirect influence abilities, ensuring that expectations and deliverables are properly defined and flawlessly executed on-time and on-budget.
General Responsibilities Include:
- Effective management and communication of project status and action plans for multiple projects running simultaneously using project management methodologies and control techniques to both client and MNPV project team.
- Work with Project Leader in creation of client facing documents such as timelines, presentations and meeting notes that illustrate a high level of professionalism, client business understanding and technical competency.
- Support tracking of resource allocations, cost estimating, and billing processes.
- Perform project risk assessments and oversee risk mitigation plans.
- Executing and enhancing company consulting process in key focus areas.
- Diagnosing client needs and implementing appropriate action plans quickly.
- Setting client expectations high and exceeding them.
- Developing and maintaining productive, professional client relationships at multiple levels of management.
- Negotiating, persuading, cajoling, and otherwise ensuring that many parties outside their direct authority are reliably making their necessary contributions to the project.
- Learning new tools and approaches “on the fly” and integrating new elements into the solution mix as required.
Success profile:
- Minimum of 5 years project management experience within corporate or consulting environment on marketing and/or financially-oriented projects.
- Strong knowledge of a broad range of marketing mix tactics and techniques.
- Highly proficient with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Exceptional written and oral communications.
- Experience with IT system design.
- Detail-oriented approach to data management.
- Experience facilitating group meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to influence directly and indirectly.
- Demonstrated ability to create sound process from chaos.
- Ability to drive processes even when people, process or skill deficiencies thwart progress.
Specific Responsibilities On An Engagement May Include:
- Assisting in defining requirements and gathering facts and assumptions for implementation of metrics, dashboards, or resource allocation tools.
- Coordinating the aggregation and transformation of data to support the operation of dashboards or software tools.
- Negotiating with vendors and contractors to provide services and integrating their efforts into a seamless delivery team.
- Producing and presenting plans for project expansion, redirection, or re-evaluation.
- Reporting on project financial progress and updating plans for goal attainment.
- Determining circumstantially-appropriate change management strategies to assist clients in overcoming cultural, political, process, or skill deficiencies which pose risks to successful project completion.
- Providing training and support (logistical, emotional, and otherwise) to clients as required.
